Adding a Subdomain to Your Hosting Account

A subdomain is an easy way to create a memorable web address for various areas of your site. For example, you could create a subdomain for pictures on your site called "pics." Anybody that comes to your Web site could type pics.example.com instead of www.example.com/pics.

To Add a Subdomain to Your Hosting Account (Configuration 2.0)
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.
- Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open.
- In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Center, click the Domain Management icon.
- Expand the appropriate domain name panel, and then click Add subdomain.
- In the subdomain text box, enter the subdomain.
- From the Path drop-down list, select the existing content directory to which the subdomain will point or type a new content directory that does not appear in the list.
- Click Save.
To Add a Subdomain to Your Hosting Account (Configuration 1.0)
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.
- Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open.
- In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Center, click the subdomains icon.
- Click Add subdomain.
- To add a subdomain to your hosting account, type a subdomain name and click Continue.
- Review your subdomain information. If everything looks OK, click Add to add the subdomain to your hosting account.
