Changing the Domain Name on Your Hosting Account

To change the domain name on your hosting account

1. Log in to your Account Manager.
2. In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.
3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open.
4. In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Center, click the Change Domain Name icon.
5. Select an existing domain name from the drop-down list or enter a domain name in the text box.
6. Click Continue.
7. Verify the chosen domain name and click Submit.

NOTE: This change takes between two and twenty-four hours to complete. While the domain modification is in progress, your Web site is accessible through both the old and new domain names. Once the process is complete, your Web site is accessible only through the new domain name.

NOTE: If the new domain name is not under the same customer number as your hosting account, you must manually update the "A Record" of the new domain name so that it points to your Web site's IP address. If the new domain name has subdomains, each must have an "A Record" manually created.
