What is Alexa® and how does its page ranking work?

Alexa is a search engine that ranks Web sites according to site traffic it collects through the Alexa toolbar. When users download the toolbar and use it to navigate to a particular site, Alexa collects this data for its page rank calculation. A Business Registration displays the Alexa page ranking as part of its listing information.
