About Images
You can upload images to your Quick Shopping Cart to display as your store logo, category, and product images. You can upload JPGs, animated GIFs, transparent GIFs, PNGs, and BMPs.
You can also upload images that allow users to zoom in and out while viewing a product. These images must be at least 465 pixels wide by 365 pixels high and must be in JPG, PNG, or BMP format. You can select to view these Interactive Images from your Storefront Preferences.
Uploading JPG Files
When you upload a JPG file, Quick Shopping Cart resizes the image to fit the page layout. Size dimensions are:
- Product Thumbnail - 60 X 60 pixels
- Product Standard - 175 X 175 pixels
- Product ZOOM - 400 X 400 pixels
- Category Image - 175 X 175 pixels
- Category Thumbnail - 60 X 60 pixels
- Logo in Header - 150 X 75 pixels
- Welcome Message Image - 300 X 300 pixels
Upload JPG files if you do not want to manually resize your images.
Uploading GIF Files
Before uploading a GIF file, you need to manually set the image height and width in an image editing program. When you upload the GIF, Quick Shopping Cart displays it at the size you specified.
You can upload an animated GIF, which the storefront displays as animated, and you can upload transparent GIFS so that the background color shows through the transparent areas. Quick Shopping Cart does not convert GIFs to JPGs or resize them, as long as you add the GIFs through the Advanced Form and not the Quick Form.
When adding GIFs through the Quick Form, you can only upload the Standard image, which Quick Shopping Cart converts to JPG and copies to use for the Thumbnail image. However, you can upload a different Thumbnail image by editing the product detail.
Uploading PNG and BMP Image Formats
When you upload PNG or BMP files, Quick Shopping Cart converts the files to JPG files and resizes it according to the JPG dimensions.
