Setting General Options

Quick Blogcast allows you to set the general options for your site at any time.

To Set General Options for Your Site

  1. From the Manage Blog menu, select Settings.
  2. Go to the General tab.
  3. From the Blog time zone list, select the time zone you want to assign to your blog.
  4. From the Blog title list, specify the title you want to give to your blog.
  5. From the Blog URL list, do one of the following:
    • To select a domain from a list of domains associated with your customer account, select Select from an available domain, and then select the domain name from the list.
    • To use a sub-domain, select Enter a sub-domain, and then specify the prefix of the sub-domain and select the domain name from the list of domains associated with your customer account. For example, blog.coolexample.com.
    • To specify a domain name, select Enter a domain, and then enter the domain name.
  6. Click Apply.

NOTE: If you specify a sub-domain that is registered through another registrar, the A Record must point to 64.202.189.158 in your DNS with your registrar. The entry should include your domain or sub-domain URL and IP address. To get the IP address, please contact your registrar's customer support and request instructions to ping your domain. The format for the A Record is similar to: sub.coolexample.com - A type - IP Address (64.202.189.158).
