Merging Your Quick Podcast and Quick Blog Accounts into Quick Blogcast

If you own a Quick Blog and a Quick Podcast account, you can merge the two into a Quick Blogcast account. Quick Blogcast combines all of the features of a blog and a podcast on one site. (Include Name Change information)
Note:If you want to keep your accounts separate, you do not need to do anything.
To merge the two accounts, export your blog entries from your Quick Blog account and then import them into your Quick Podcast account. Once you have imported your blog entries into your Quick Podcast account, you have a fully-functioning Quick Blogcast site.
Note:If you merge your Quick Blog and Quick Podcast accounts, you will need to recreate your template and sidebar items.
To merge Your Quick Podcast and Quick Blog Accounts into Quick Blogcast
- Log in to your Quick Blog account.
- From the Manage Blog menu, select Export Entries.
- Use the checkboxes to select the items you want to export with your blog entries. You can select the following options:
- Categories
- Select this option if you want to add existing categories to your new blogcast site.
- Comments
- Select this option if you want to add existing comments to your new blogcast site.
- Trackbacks
- Select this option if you want to add existing trackbacks to your new blogcast site.
- Click Export.
- In the file download window, click Save.
- Using the dialog box, select a location to save the file and click Save.
To Import Your Blog Entries
- Log in to your Quick Blogcast account.
- From the Manage Blog menu, select Import Entries.
- Select Moveable Type/Type Pad and click Next Step.
- Click Browse and select the Quick Blog export file. This is the file you just saved.
- Click OK. Your blog entries have been added to your Quick Blogcast account.
