Launching WebSite Tonight for the First Time

The first time you launch WebSite Tonight, you can either set up a Coming Soon page or begin designing your Web site. If you're creating a Web site for a .MOBI domain, see Setting Up .MOBI Domains.

To Create a Coming Soon Page

  1. From the Add-Ons menu, select Coming Soon Page.

  2. In the Click a thumbnail area, click the image that represents the layout you want to use for your Coming Soon page.

  3. In the Enter the text area, enter the text you want to display on your Coming Soon page.
  4. In the Banner Settings area, select one of the following:
    Show dark banner
    to display a dark version of the banner.
    Show light banner
    to display a light version of the banner.
    Hide banner
    to prevent the banner from showing.
  5. (Optional) To add an image or logo, in the Upload area, click Change Image, locate and select the image, and then click OK. For information about locating images in the Image Library, see Using the Image Library.
  6. When you are finished creating your Coming Soon page, you can select one of the following:
    7. Preview
    To see what your Coming Soon page looks like.
    OK
    To save your Coming Soon page without publishing it.
    Publish
    To publish your Coming Soon page and make it live on the Internet. If necessary, select Publish Coming Soon Page. Click Publish All. Click OK to confirm you want to publish the Coming Soon page.

 

To Set Up a Web Page

NOTE: If you have a .MOBI domain name, you can only add mobile page layouts; you cannot add traditional page layouts. For more information about setting up .MOBI domains, see Setting Up .MOBI Domains.

  1. Launch WebSite Tonight.
  2. To accept the terms of use, click Accept. The Hosting Control Center window opens.
  3. From the User Information page, enter your information in the following fields:
    4. Domain Name
    Select an existing domain name from the list or enter a name for your hosting account.
    User Name
    Create a user name that you will use when logging in to your Quick Blogcast site.
    Password and Confirm New Password
    Create and verify the password that you will use when logging in to your Quick Blogcast site.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. Verify your account information, and if it is correct, click Submit.
  6. Click Launch WebSite Tonight.
