Frequently Asked Questions

What are my relay mail server settings on my virtual dedicated server?

Last Updated: March 27, 2006 4:30 PM

All outbound email from a virtual dedicated server must use this relay server:

k2smtpout.secureserver.net

NOTE: Our dedicated servers have an outbound email limit of 1000 per day. If you need to send more than a 1000 emails per day, please call customer support or open a support ticket to request a higher limit.

If you have Plesk on your server, MailEnable uses a "smarthost" of k2smtpout.secureserver.net.

For the most part, you do not need to worry about these settings unless something is not working or you want to use a different mail server daemon on your server.

IMPORTANT! This is not the relay setting that you would use to set up your email client (like Outlook or Thunderbird). For information about setting up an email account on your virtual dedicated server, see Setting Up an Email Account in Plesk
