Applying for a Certified Domain

To apply for Certified Domain validation, go to the Web site and purchase a Certified Domain credit, then follow the procedure below to initiate the domain authorization request.

To initiate your Certified Domain validation

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. From the Domain Names menu, select Manage Certified Domain. The Certified Domain Accounts page opens.
  3. In your list of Certified Domain, click Setup Account next to the new Certified Domain account that you want to set up. The Certified Domain Control Center opens in a new window.
  4. Enter the domain name that you want to have validated for the Certified Domain.
  5. Enter your contact information and then click Next.

We email an authorization request to the domain's registrant, administrative, and technical contacts. Each of the recipients must click on the link in the email message in order to approve the Certified Domain request so that we can continue with the Certified Domain validation process.

In addition, when you click Call Me Now in the Certified Domain Control Center, we call the contact phone number you provided to deliver a verification PIN, which you enter in the Certified Domain control panel, to validate the contact phone number.

When all of these steps are completed, the domain is validated and you can add the Domain Origination Certified seal to your Web site.
